Hello, I'm Chris Satchell (Satch)
Senior UX, UI, and Product Designer & Creative with expertise in UX/UI, design systems, responsive layouts, and end-to-end website production. Experienced in defining creative direction, leading discovery sessions, and delivering complex builds from concept to launch, working closely with developers, 3D artists, and post-production teams. AI-curious and productivity-focused, constantly exploring new tools to enhance workflows. A creative, with a passion for community art projects and street art.
Since generating my first AI image in Midjourney, I haven't stopped exploring AI. I've become heavily involved in online communities, sharing findings and experimenting with new tools across design, motion and development.
Initially, I was concerned AI would take over my industry, but I've come to see it as a powerful tool for speeding up research and prototyping, simplifying processes and removing many of the more repetitive tasks.
I believe AI will become a fundamental part of a designer's toolkit, but it shouldn't be the driver — creative thinking, simplicity and good judgement still matter most. The real value comes from knowing how to use AI effectively, then applying human creativity and craft to make the output genuinely great.

Over the years I've worked with a wide range of creative and digital tools, from traditional design software through to prototyping, animation, development and now AI.
For me, software is simply a tool to help bring an idea to life. I'm always learning new platforms and finding better, faster ways of working, but the idea and the thinking behind it always come first.

Having been fortunate enough to grow up in the rural landscape of Wales, I've always had a strong appreciation for the environment.
Today, we face some of our greatest environmental challenges, and I'm keen to do whatever I can to help — no matter how small my contribution may seem.
If you're working on something that could help protect or improve the environment and need creative, design or digital support, I'd love to hear from you and put my skills to good use.
In my spare time, I enjoy creating slightly random — and sometimes secretive — community projects that bring artists, creatives and local people together.
I love coming up with an idea, getting people involved and seeing where it leads. Some of these projects have grown far beyond what I originally expected, which is usually part of the fun.
I've been fortunate enough to work with charities including ShelterBox on their website and Seashell on their marketing materials.
I've always valued the opportunity to use my skills to support people and causes that genuinely make a difference. Even a relatively small piece of creative or digital work can have a meaningful impact when it's helping the right organisation.
If you're working with a charity or organisation that could benefit from creative, design or digital support, I'd love to hear from you and put my skills to good use.
